train travelling

These days coming to work in Amsterdam has a different approach. As the ring of Amsterdam is being overhauled most people working around the working sites have receive a train pass specifically arranged for the trip home-work.
I've been travelling on the train for twee weeks now and it is something else. I used to travel a lot with the train, when I arrived in the Netherlands, just to travel around. When I was a researcher at Utrecht University, travelling from Rotterdam to Utrecht 3 days a week.
It is, in any case, a different trip with more time available to read, to look around, to make some sketches and so forth. Better that driving around, being prisoner and slave of the car.
I came across an old friend the other day, a nice blonde girl named Liesbeth, a friend of Daniƫlle. We talked a lot from Amsterdam Schiphol station until Rotterdam Central Station. A lot of stories, a lot of interesting things. And of course, I talked too much.
I also made sketches on the train. I can get the right kind of concentration if I have a deadline. And I have more time to read. I sleept just once...
A different ride. Maybe I'll switch to conmute in the train. A lot more things to see.
